Royal Air Force Squadronaires Band Concert

Royal Air Force Squadronaires Band Concert The origins of the Squadronaires can be traced back to 1939, when experienced civilian musicians were recruited into the Royal Air Force to form dance bands.

During the ’60s and ’70s dance bands continued to flourish within the RAF Music Services, but it was not until 1985 that a plan was put forward to form a new ‘big band’ using the title The Royal Air Force Squadronaires.

Since then the band has gone from strength to strength, their first recording ‘Big Band Spectacular’ was an instant success closely followed by a second album ‘Swing Squadron’.

We look forward to seeing you at this Concert. All profit goes to the RAF Association’s Welfare funds.
